Politcal Café with Maurits Vande Reyde and Joppe Borremans

BEPACT Political Café – Off-script: Political influence outside the traditional channels

On Wednesday, 25 November, from 18:30 to 22:00, BEPACT will host Maurits Vande Reyde, independent Member of the Flemish Parliament and founder of the political action group Durf, and Joppe Borremans, political content creator on social media, for a Political Café on how political influence works when it doesn’t follow the usual party lines.

How does a political message gain traction today? In recent years, independent voices have gained real momentum in shaping the public debate through social media and action groups, complementing the traditional routes of parties, parliaments and cabinets. Drawing on the experiences of both speakers, we will explore how these channels work in practice, how they relate to established politics, and what this evolution means for public affairs.

The programme for the evening is as follows:

  • 18:30: Welcome
  • 19:00: Start of the panel discussion and Q&A
  • 20:00- 21:00: Networking drink

Location: Marnixlaan 24, 1000 Brussels

This event is exclusively reserved for BEPACT members.
