Much has been said and predicted about Donald Trump’s second presidency, but what can we realistically expect from arguably one of the most contentious presidents in history in a time of rapidly increasing geopolitical tension?

Professor Herman Matthijs teaches public finance at Ghent University and the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. He specializes in government administration and budgets, but also in defence and US politics. Through the lens of these important aspects, prof. Matthijs will tell us what we can expect from Donald Trump’s second presidency and how the ripples of US politics will affect the EU and the rest of the world.
