Dear Bepact Members,
Over a few weeks, on November 3rd, the people of the United States will cast their vote in what could be one of the most important presidential and congress elections of the last Century.
In many ways, the incumbent president Mr. Donald Trump has experienced quite an unconventional presidency. He is challenged by Mr. Joe Biden, the nominee of the Democratic Party.
According to the polls, the outcome of the vote will be close. The result may even be influenced by a number of uncertainties: what will be the voter turn-out? What about the postal votes? Will the COVID-19 contamination of the president and the First Lady have an impact on the outcome, etc.?
In order to get a good understanding of what is at stake at these elections, we have invited prof. dr. Bart Kerremans, full professor in Political Science at the KU Leuven, highly respected commentator of the American politics, and author of several books and articles on American politics.
He will share with us his thoughts and ideas on these elections, and on its potential impact for world politics.
This event (live) will take place on Monday 12th of October 2020 at 17h00 on zoom.
Please send all your questions before the 9th of October to info@bepact.be.
This session will be moderated by Stefaan Fiers, president of Bepact and Head Corporate Communication, Public Affairs and Patient Advocacy at Takeda Belgium.
After registration you will receive a confirmation email with instructions to join the meeting.
Best regards,
The Bepact team
