BEPACT LIVE with Bart Devos

Dear Bepact member,

We have the pleasure to invite you for a new BEPACT live with Bart Devos, European director at Responsible Business Alliance, in collaboration with the Federation of Enterprises in Belgium (FEB).

Earlier this year, the European Commission confirmed plans to introduce binding legislation that will give companies a due diligence for sustainability in their global supply chains. This European legislative initiative is part of a broader trend of growing expectations for environmental and social sustainability in the industry, both from governments & NGOs but also from other stakeholders such as investors. Several EU Member States today have due diligence legislation with different emphases, and several national legislative initiatives are underway.

What do we know today about the European legislative initiative? How will it affect the Belgian business world? And how can Belgian companies prepare themselves?
