This Second Bepact Summer School, is an exclusive - members only -two day training programme for Belgian Public Affairs professionals.
The Summer School focuses on the development of your professional and personal skills, and on the evolutions of public affairs in surrounding political systems.
Obviously, given the venues of the 2017 Summer School, this year’s focus will be on the Walloon and Frenchspeaking politics, with a visit of the Walloon Parliament by Mrs. Emily Hoyos, former President of the Walloon Parliament, and a key note address by Minister Maxime Prévot, Deputy Minister President of the Walloon Regional government at Tuesdays dinner.
Next, we will learn from Eric Schell, responsible for international contacts at our French counterpart, the AFCL, on ‘Public Affairs in the Macron era’, and we will discuss with the Chairman of the Working Group Political Renewal of the House of Representatives on the recent initiatives that have been proposed regarding ‘cumul des mandats’, transparency, and lobbying activities in the House. Finally, and not in the least, Prof. Van Poucke will train our negotiating skills.
